2023 Lead Charity Partner - Sarcoma UK

We are pleased to be collaborating with national bone and soft tissue cancer charity, Sarcoma UK, as this year’s Santa in the City charity partner.

Sarcoma UK is a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. It is the only cancer charity in the UK focusing on all types of sarcoma.

Sarcomas are uncommon cancers that can affect any part of the body, on the inside or outside, including the muscle, bone, tendons, blood vessels and fatty tissues.

There are around 100 different sub-types of sarcoma.

Sarcoma UK is now one of the biggest funders of sarcoma research in the UK, having invested more than £5 million to 74 research projects to date. The charity has helped more than 3200 individuals who use our support services an average of three times since we launched it in February 2016.

Sarcoma UK relies on generous voluntary donations and the energy and imagination of its tireless fundraisers. The people who support our work are some of the most passionate, creative and committed in the UK. When you join Team Sarcoma, we give you support from the day you join until you cross your finish line, and beyond. We’ll give you personalised support, up-to-date information, and are here to answer your questions any time. It’s the least we can do for our Team Sarcoma heroes.

Raising funds for Sarcoma UK means you are helping bring about a world where fewer people are affected by sarcoma. And that’s a win for everyone.

We’re bringing about change. Join us in doing that. For more information, visit our website: sarcoma.org.uk

Additionally, we work with various organisations to support those currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis; from the manufacture of modern breast forms for post-mastectomy women in Cornwall; supporting the work of The Loss Foundation, Dragonfly Cancer Trust and many more.
